The ACF Executive Committee is pleased to provide an update with respect to the new direction of ACF Operations. The Executive Director position has been eliminated and the duties from 3 positions have been redistributed over 2 positions going forward. Ruby Olson has taken on the new role of Operations Director and Lindsay Field has taken on the new role of Programs Director. Paul Webster remains as our High Performance Coach.
The Operations Director is responsible for the ongoing operations of the Alberta Curling Federation including day-to-day operations, coordinating Provincial Championships, administering the process of awarding host sites for provincial championships, providing support and guidance to host committees and liaising with ACF stakeholders such as Alberta Sport Connection, Curling Canada, and Regional Associations.
The Programs Director is responsible for the ongoing operations and administration of ACF Programs including technical programs, maintaining ACF program databases, administration of the ACF Scholarships and Alberta Athlete Development Program funding, planning and coordination of Camps, support of external stakeholder programs including Wheelchair, Alberta Winter Games, Canada Winter Games and other developmental curling opportunities.
The Executive Committee is working closely with the staff for a Team approach moving forward.
